Water hose accessories mainly refer to the necessary accessories for connecting and using fire hoses, including interfaces, water dividers, etc.

1. Interface

The interface is a joint that connects a water hose to a water hose, fire pump, fire hydrant, or mobile water cannon. There are mainly water hose interfaces, pipe tooth interfaces, valve covers, internal thread fixing interfaces, external thread fixing interfaces, reducing interfaces, irregular interfaces, etc.

During use, attention should be paid to:

(1) When using and storing, it is important to avoid falling, hitting, and heavy pressure to prevent deformation that may make assembly and disassembly difficult.

(2) Before connecting, carefully inspect the sliding groove and sealing parts. If there are debris such as sludge and sand particles, they must be removed in a timely manner to prevent difficulties in installation and disassembly and poor sealing.

(3) When connecting the internal buckle interface, insert the buckle claw into the groove and then screw it clockwise. When connecting the water hose, it is also necessary to straighten the hose to prevent the waterproof tape from twisting and causing the interface to detach on its own.

(4) When connecting the plug-in interface, it should be inserted until the sound of the female interface spring pin extending into the male interface slot is heard to ensure reliable connection.

(5) When storing, be careful to avoid contact with chemicals such as acids and alkalis to prevent corrosion of metal parts and deterioration of rubber sealing rings.

2. Water distributor

A water distributor is a connecting device that separates the water flow from the outlet line and the water flow from the branch line. According to the number of branch lines divided, there are two parts of water, three parts of water, and four parts of water.

(1) Structure

Each water distributor has one inlet and several outlets, which can be used simultaneously or separately, and their interfaces are all internal buckle type. The water outlet is equipped with a shut-off valve or ball valve, which can be closed at any time to control the water flow and facilitate the addition and replacement of branch water hoses.

(2) Use and maintenance

Before use, check whether the interface sealing ring and valve are intact and functional. In the harsh winter season, measures should be taken to keep warm and prevent freezing failure. Rinse thoroughly with clean water after use.
